Description
From 1988 to 1998, “Orville by Gibson” was sold in the Japanese market as an intermediate brand between Gibson and Epiphone.
The brand name is derived from the name of the founder, Orville Henry Gibson.
This time, we have SG-65 Ebony.
It has a mahogany body, mahogany neck, and rosewood fingerboard, following the basic specs of the SG Standard.
It also has the small pickguard, larger head, and cruson style pegs, which are the specs of the “61 Reissue,” Gibson’s current product at that time.
Two Orville original humbucking pickups are mounted.
The neck also features a thin grip like early 60’s SGs.
This model has strong signs of use such as scratches and dents overall.
There are also some touch-up marks on the lower part of the body.
However, it is in good playing condition, the neck is in good condition, and the truss rod has room to spare.
