This is a Yamaha active 4-string bass, LB series, LB-I, made between 1986 and 1989.
This is the LB-Series JJ model of the “Motion” series that dominated the market when it was first released. This model boasts an excellent fit, high playability, tight and balanced tone, and a wide range of sound variations.
The embedded strap pin has been changed to a normal type (the wood is visible), and there are some signs of use (overall color fading and weather cracks, dents around the head, back of the neck, and outer body, scuffs and scratches from playing, picking marks, buckle marks, metal parts and screws are faded, cloudy, and pitted, etc.).
