Two custom five-inch speakers are loaded into a carefully designed wood cabinet, generating full sound with rich resonance typically only available with performance amplifiers. Punchy, high-definition tones give you an inspiring platform for honing natural techniques that seamlessly translate to a stage amp setup. The tuned bass-reflex port further increases this amps versatility, ensuring a tight bottom-end response for low-tuned guitar riffs and electric bass practice.
Premium Katana Amps and Effects
Katana-Air EX comes loaded with sounds derived from the Katana stage amplifiers, dialed in for maximum expression with its desktop cabinet. Five unique amp characters provide tones from sparkling clean to BOSSs custom high-gain Brown sound, along with a dedicated character for acoustic-electric guitar and bass. You also get access to over 60 BOSS effects, including a wide selection of overdrives, distortions, and boosters, plus mod, delay, and reverb effects optimized for the amps stereo speaker system. And with six onboard memories, you can store your favorite amp and effects setups for instant recall.
High-Performance BOSS Wireless Technology
BOSSs acclaimed digital wireless guitar technology is at the heart of Katana-Air EX, providing transparent sound and lightning-fast response without any lag or dropouts. The included transmitter offers up to 12 hours of playing time per charge, and the integrated motion sensor and standby function conserve energy when the system is idle. This allows you to keep the transmitter plugged in between sessions and turn the system on just by picking up your instrument. When its time to charge, simply connect the transmitter to the amps convenient docking port.
Wireless Foot Control with the EV-1-WL and FS-1-WL
The optional EV-1-WL Wireless MIDI Expression Pedal and FS-1-WL Wireless Footswitch expand the Katana-Air EX experience, letting you remotely operate functions you assign in the BOSS Tone Studio mobile app. Control volume and wah, change patches, and trigger the apps practice toolsall with a cable-free connection.
