Gibson 490R Modern Classic Humbucker Neck Double Black
Based on the original Patent Applied For pickups that started the humbucker legend, the 490R is the perfect upgrade for any guitar looking for a bit more push. Four-conductor wiring allows for split coil setups, and Gibsons wax potting construction eliminates any air space, reducing microphonic feedback. The 490R has the same tonal characteristics of an original PAF, with a slight boost in the upper-mid range response. The matching 490T bridge pickup is calibrated as such, except with pole pieces aligned slightly further apart to accommodate the spacing of strings at the bridge.
